Lionsgate ha pubblicato il teaser trailer ufficiale di Antebellum, il nuovo thriller horror diretto da Gerard Bush e Christopher Renz, con Janelle Monáe protagonista. Dai produttori di Get Out e QC Entertainment, il film uscirà nelle sale il 24 aprile 2020.

Antebellum seguirà la storia della fortunata autrice Veronica Henley (Janelle Monàe) che si ritrova intrappolata in una realtà orribile e deve risolvere un mistero sconvolgente prima che sia troppo tardi.

Oltre a Janelle Mona nel cast ritroviamo Kiersey Clemons (Sweetheart), Gabourey Sidibe (Precious, American Horror Story), Jena Malone (La trilogia di Hunger Games, The Neon Demon), Eric Lange (Narcos), Jack Huston (Ben -Hur), Tongayi Chirisa (Crusoe), Richardson II Brand, Rob Aramayo e Lily Cowles. Antebellum segna il debutto alla sceneggiatura e alla regia di Gerard Bush e Christopher Renz o Bush + Renz, noti per aver diretto il brutale poliziesco Against the Wall con Michael B. Jordan, Danny Glover e Michael K.
